The Work Well programme supported 536 young people between July 2021 to June 2023, supporting them to achieve their aspirations with work or training.
The service ran across Leeds and worked with young people aged 15 to 24 who were NEET or at risk of being NEET (Not in Education, Employment or Training) where mental health and wellbeing were a concern and a barrier to making progress.
Of the young people supported:
"I believe because of the experience I've had with your organisation that I've grown and developed as an individual and have improved my life dramatically."
- Work Well Participant
"Barca have been a superb delivery partner on the ESIF Mental Health programme. The support their staff team has provided across Leeds has helped so many young people with their mental health and the emotional challenges they face. Many of these young people have been enabled to take positive steps towards work or education which wouldn’t have happened without the empathy and guidance from the Barca team. Lives have been transformed for these young people and their families, the benefits of which will be felt for many years to come."
- Alison Fenton, Employment and Skills Manager, Leeds City Council
