Donate to Barca-Leeds the Easy Way – Tax Free Payroll Giving
Payroll Giving is a scheme which allows anyone who pays UK income tax to give regularly and on a tax free basis to their chosen charity.
All regular donations make a big difference to Barca even though they are small. If just 10 employees donated as little as £1 a week for a year, this could pay for one month’s counselling for a young person whose parents misuse drugs and alcohol.
Here are some examples of how your donation could make a slight difference:
- 2 employees’ donations could pay for one week’s targeted play activities for children with parents that have mental or physical health issues.
- 10 employees’ donations could pay for 1 month’s group sessions with females that have have experienced domestic violence.
- 20 employees’ donations could pay for 3 month’s work with a vulnerable family to recieve family support and parenting classes to prevent children entering the care system.
What are the benefits for employees?
You can chose how much you want to give each month (minimum of £1) and you can opt out at any point. When you join the scheme hyou will need your national insurance number and bank details.
The donation is then taken from your basic pay before tax, so it costs you less. For example, a donation opf £5 a month costs a basic rate tax payer just £4, but the taxman pays the rest, the charity will recieve the full £5 pledged.
How do your donations work?

If you are a higher rate tax payer and donate £10.00 it only costs you £6 and Barca recieves £10.00 which is £520 a year.
