Trustee (non-paid volunteer)

Barca-Leeds are looking for a Trustee to assist in leading the charity on a non-paid voluntary basis to work closely with the Board of Trustees, Chief Executive Officer and the Senior Management Team. Ideally, the preferred candidate would have experience of operating within a board in a charitable, public sector or commercial organisation.

Counselling Services

We have volunteering opportunities for both diploma graduates and students. Students need to be in their second year of the diploma and have a minimum of 50 hours counselling client work under clinical supervision. Courses and Training

We are recruiting Community Health Educators

Barca-Leeds are seeking enthusiastic, personable and committed individuals to undertake our 2018 Community Health Educator course, leading to paid sessional work in West Leeds.

The course is designed to give participants skills and knowledge around all aspects of health and wellbeing, as well as offering tips on confidence building and working in a professional environment.  Following successful completion of the course, you will be eligible to work with Barca’s team of Community Development Workers on a range of activities such as community consultation, groups and events in West Leeds.

Interviews for the course will be on Tuesday 9thJanuary and the course will be held each Tuesday from 10.00 am until 2.00 pm at Little London Community Centre, starting on 16th  January, and will run for eight weeks.
