Reaching Out is a Big Lottery funded counselling service provided by Barca. The current contract started in January 2016 and is due to complete in January 2019. One to one counselling sessions are provided free of charge to people in need in postcodes LS12, LS13 and LS28, often providing long-term counselling for individuals with high needs. The service also provides several different group sessions providing CBT, a group supporting men to manage their anger issues and a group providing therapeutic support and a support network for highly vulnerable adults.
Emotional Wellbeing Children and Young Person’s Worker – Job Ref CYP028
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic person with experience of working with children and young people to add to our Family Plus team. The team works with families engaged in drug/ alcohol treatment that require support in order to improve the functioning of the family, provide better outcomes for the children and support the parents towards recovery. The successful candidate will bring experience and knowledge of working with children and young people. They will have delivered 1-1 interventions around health and wellbeing and have a restorative approach. Whilst being part of the family plus team the person will also be required to work independently, be dynamic and proactive. Knowledge of how alcohol and drugs impact on the family is beneficial to the role.

Wellbeing Coordinator (Maternity Cover for up to 12 months) – Job Ref HW030
Barca-Leeds, in partnership with Leeds Mind, Hamara, Touchstone, Better Leeds Communities and Leeds Irish Health and Homes provides the Social
Prescribing Service for Leeds South East (LSE).
The partnership has been working together and delivering this genuinely ground-breaking, innovative service since 2014. The post-holder will liaise with GP surgeries across LSE, contact referred clients and, where appropriate, provide an assessment and support them to choose and access appropriate services and community groups. Coordinators will also network with local community groups, assisting them to develop appropriate support to benefit local communities.

Urgent Care Outreach Support Workers – Job Ref HW031
We are seeking two motivated, experienced Support Workers to support patients with complex needs to navigate their way through services and provide an active case management approach. This will enable them to reduce frequent attendance at the Accident & Emergency Departments of Leeds General Infirmary, St James’ University Hospital and other Urgent Care providers. This innovative service has delivered fantastic results by supporting frequent A&E attenders to find alternative, more appropriate service options. The recent external evaluation demonstrates high level results, reducing attendances by 40% and supporting the NHS to meet their targets. This service is entering a third year of delivery and there are excellent prospects for continuation into a fourth year and beyond.

Stronger Families Administrative Assistant – Job Ref CYP027
We are looking for an administrative assistant to support the Operational Hub and partners for Leeds. We are looking for someone with experience of working on ESIF or Big Lottery projects and preferable experience of working with third sector partners who support clients with multiple needs as well as skills in the use of social media, communications and marketing.

Trustee (non-paid volunteer)
Barca-Leeds are looking for a Trustee to assist in leading the charity on a non-paid voluntary basis to work closely with the Board of Trustees, Chief Executive Officer and the Senior Management Team. Ideally, the preferred candidate would have experience of operating within a board in a charitable, public sector or commercial organisation.
We have volunteering opportunities for both diploma graduates and students. Students need to be in their second year of the diploma and have a minimum of 50 hours counselling client work under clinical supervision.
