Barca-Leeds is recruiting a part time School Counsellor (2 days per week Term Time only) to join our community based charity. We pride ourselves on our people who make this an outstanding charity that provides the very best in client service.
Applicants will meet the essential requirements as listed in the Personal Specification and hold a relevant counselling/ CBT qualification and have experience of working to support the emotional wellbeing of children. Applicants will also need to demonstrate a good understanding of the particular factors and issues faced by children and young people in relation to the maintenance of good mental health and emotional wellbeing.
Stronger Families Keyworker – Job Ref CYP035

We are looking for candidates who:
- Are skilled in recognising and addressing multiple barriers to employment, education or training and have experience in this area of work.
- Have significant experience in assessing and planning interventions for families facing multiple barriers to employment with positive outcomes
- Have the skills to use restorative approaches to help improve the lives of local families and support individuals back to work.
- Have the ability to co-ordinate and manage a caseload and monitor, assess, action plan, report and record accurately and in a timely manner in accordance with the roles’ requirements.
Complex Needs Worker – Job Ref EL003

We are looking for 2 motivated, experienced Complex Needs Workers to take on the role of providing a housing related support package to people with challenging issues in their lives such as mental ill-health, offending, drug and alcohol dependency, a history of homelessness etc. These posts deliver support across the city as part of the new Engage Leeds service. There are 3 Complex Needs Workers as part of the service and each will be based within a team covering one of the 3 Leeds wedges, as well as forming a collective resource and advice source to the other housing support staff.
We have volunteering opportunities for both diploma graduates and students. Students need to be in their second year of the diploma and have a minimum of 50 hours counselling client work under clinical supervision.
