Trainee Rapid Rehousing Navigator – Job Ref HW045
End Date: Tuesday 23rd of April 2019 at 09.00 am
The role of the Trainee Rapid Rehousing Navigator is to work with the navigator team to support individuals with challenging behavioural issues who have high levels of complexity including homelessness, substance misuse and mental health issues. Some of the people we work with may have a history of convictions for serious offences and are at a high risk of reoffending. This may make it difficult to establish relationships and engage with them at any level.
The individual is required to work in an outreach capacity with people who are rough sleeping, supporting them from initial contact to access the services and interventions they need to build their resilience, gain confidence and acquire the personal and social assets they need to move forward. They will provide a continued single point of contact and support through the rapid rehousing pathway to settled accommodation.
This is a supported role and will allow you to work alongside a number of teams to gain experience and the skills needed to take on a caseload of vulnerable individuals. This will include regular shadowing opportunities, joint working and supervision to ensure you feel supported within your role.
