Early Intervention and Prevention Worker (adults) – Job Ref FL016

End Date: Friday 22nd of June 2018 at 9:00 am

We are looking for someone with knowledge and experience of working with individuals who are experiencing problems with their alcohol or substance use and need advice, support and interventions that help them tackle their substance/ alcohol use before it develops into a more enduring problematic behaviour. They will carry a case load of clients with an expectation of delivering positive changes to client’s lives through short-term focussed work.

The role also involves going out and promoting the service and raising awareness of issues around drugs and alcohol with the general public. This will be through events such as local community events, within the Night Time Economy, at shopping centres and other public facing venues and arenas. The candidate will need to be engaging and comfortable with approaching and talking to members of the public and delivering opportunistic brief interventions. Evening and some weekend work will be required.

The post will be based at our Irford House, Seacroft Hub.

Youth Worker – Job Ref CYP033

The service is commissioned to work with children and young people aged 5-17 years in a variety of settings within the Bramley and Stanningley ward. The service offers access to positive activities, sexual health, voice and influence and preventative issue based groups.

As part of the Children and Young People’s team this post involves working with young people in their community to deliver focussed activates of young people’s choice. This is a targeted service for focussing on estates with limited opportunity for young people.

Family Drug and Alcohol Courts Administrator – Job Ref CYP034

The FDAC Team require an administrator to support the team with administrative tasks including maintaining up to date paperwork and files as well as taking accurate and confidential minutes which will be used for court. They will support key individuals in the FDAC team to coordinate multi-agency meetings and distribute reports and resources effectively across Local Authority and legal services. The post holder will also be responsible for developing and supporting data collection, maintaining the FDAC database and providing reports to the FDAC Manager. The post holder will be required to complete work within the court timescales and deadlines.

School Therapist x 2 – Job Ref HW037

We are delighted to be providing a new service to the Beeston, Cottingley and Middleton (BCM) cluster of schools from September 2018 onwards.  The purpose of this role is to provide short term, evidence-based therapeutic interventions to pupils (aged 5-19 years) referred by the cluster’s integrated working processes. The individual is required to work flexibly, using a range of proven interventions to meet the needs of the clients referred. The ideal candidate would have experience of working within a range of settings which may include CAMHS, School based.
