Assistant Housing Support Worker – Job Ref EL006

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic person to take on the role of assisting in providing housing related support packages to people in West Leeds. These posts are ideal as an entry-level position for people looking for employment in housing/support. Support is offered to all people, but often to those with challenging issues in their lives such as mental ill-health, offending, drug and alcohol dependency, a history of homelessness etc. These posts help deliver support with a team of Housing Support Workers as part of the Engage Leeds service.
Young Person’s Drug and Alcohol Worker – Job Ref FL021

This post is to deliver early intervention/prevention work and provide specialist drug and alcohol treatment for young people in line with NICE guidance.

We are a fully integrated consortium working as Forward Leeds for all individuals across the city with drug and alcohol concerns or ongoing issues.
Early Intervention and Prevention Worker (Adults) – Job Ref FL022
End Date: Monday 12th of November 2018 at 09.00 am
We are looking for someone with knowledge and experience of working with individuals who are experiencing problems with their alcohol or substance use and need advice, support and interventions that help them tackle their substance/ alcohol use. They will carry a case load of clients with an expectation of delivering positive changes to client’s lives through short-term focussed work.
The role also involves going out and promoting the service and raising awareness of issues around drugs and alcohol with the general public. This will be through events such as local community events, within the Night Time Economy, and other public facing venues and arenas. The candidate will need to be engaging and comfortable with approaching and talking to members of the public and delivering opportunistic brief interventions. Evening and some weekend work will be required.
We have volunteering opportunities for both diploma graduates and students. Students need to be in their second year of the diploma and have a minimum of 50 hours counselling client work under clinical supervision.
